This project began life as a GB Compo 25 entry, but I unfortunately wasn't able to complete the demo in time. I thought instead of shelving it I'd share what was done so far to gauge if there's any interest in seeing it be completed. Right now its just a glorified walking sim but the foundation is there so feel free to share any thoughts you might have I'd love to hear it.
Don't mind any disappearing units they're still there lol.
There are only four screens in the game directly North, East and North East of your starting position.
There's only one enemy all it does is moved towards your city when you settle it.
The jam version is a broken mess I recommend you don't even waste your time checking it out.

I want this so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so SO bad. I've been looking for anything that would scratch the Civ itch for GB/GBC for YEARS.
I feel you I felt the exact same way until I thought ‘Hey,why not just make it myself?’ But hopefully the completed project will satisfy that itch of yours. In the mean time you can expect another update within the next few days.And all that said I really appreciate your support it really keeps me going hahaha.
There should be a clamoring of responses to this. Civilization for the Gameboy! This might be the greatest idea ever. YES PLEASE!!!!
Hahaha honestly one of the best comments I’ve ever gotten. I’m totally biased ofc but I’m right there with you on the excitement. I figure the project will gain more traction once i put out more updates and actually show its viable. I appreciate you a lot though you’ve made my day.
I would buy myself a DeLorean and travel to the future for this.
